Speaker 1:

Thank you, I'm having too much fun with this.

Speaker 2:

I want to tell you something. I want to tell you something. I want to tell you something I want to tell you something.

Speaker 2:

I want to tell you something. I want to tell you something. I want to tell you something. I want to tell you something. I want to tell you something. I want to tell you something. I want to tell you something. I want to tell you something. I want to tell you something. I want to tell you something. I I'm going to go ahead and start the recording. I don't know, I don't know. Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. Welcome to Harpy the middle helper.

Speaker 2:

It was known one day that the demon who ran in the air was a doctor. The demon ran down on the ring finger Right, but even so, this ring didn't support Harpy Because he was a little bit of a freak. He took out a ring and kicked it. He was trying to avoid the fact that the ring should help him. How the fuck? Who Zero Zero is? Hello, bill, never move the crack hospital. You didn't get it. I was like, oh, thank you, kappa. But then the best thing is how long we're close and it's right in the city. Now, hey, can you tell me where we are after this? Well, she went up on the train, so I don't know if I'm going to laugh. So I was like so I hear it and I'm like what's that you know?

Speaker 2:

Okay, if I can't remember, I'm like no, we're just gathering. I started to call the team and I remember I started to collect the number of items that I got. Probably a few of these right there. I've only got two. I didn't have all of them. So I think the child I wanted was the two she had. I thought she had all of them. I got them all. I still with the whole load of items. I couldn't do enough. I looked into the other big dealer and found that he had given them to her. He had just given them to me and I I still wish to follow those hours because you know how they are. I'd love to hear what they tell us and if you'd give me a chance so you don't lose to me. There's no need for that. And yay, we'll be, again.

Speaker 2:

This is the time to live my dream, and that's when we'll be right back home. So when do I die? I don't know. It looks like a ball of water is going to do a race on the back. I'm going to do a race on the back. I'm going to do a race on the back. I'm going to do a race on the back. I'm going to do a race on the back. I'm going to do a race on the back. I'm going to do a race on the back. I'm going to do a race on the back. I'm going to do a race on the back. I'm going to do a race on the back.

Speaker 2:

I mean, they aren't for the moon, it's just. Do you mean they need him? He needs him For the deployers. It's going to be a little while until stuff comes. Well, this is not going to be fast, so we all have to wait until the camera.

Speaker 2:

You know, I still feel good being free. You got Twitter. Well, I feel all right. Well, I feel sorry. I mean, until I did, do you think you're making it very hard? I don't want to, but see, this thing was in shipping and you can't really seem to learn. Oh, I'm a little troubled. Just look at this. I've got the world all on my own. This is my worst death. It's just a cold, bad happy friend Don't know it. I'm really dying to say it. He said At the back of the computer, thought they saw a photo of the dancing over the mountain.

Speaker 2:

How odd it had been to talk to a person who knew it. But today, just looking at the video, alien mission completed Showed the camera. So in the this video you can see some of the old-fashioned finishes of the doctor. Here's the video. There are some of the pictures that are in this attorney's journal. Here's the one. That never happened to me. Sometimes I'll go on a walk, but I'll never stop it Once I see a bear, I die. The wolf house mourns us.

Speaker 2:

We need to assume that we're going to win. I'm trying to solve what the wolf has to say. I think we can win the game and I can do it again. And then here, here, we will have a point from the last song on the back of the hand, but you're just hearing that, without a cost, you're gonna open the door to the third floor and confirm it. A link that will help you is going to open the full-text website. Confirm it, and we should be able to donate data to API. I have a base by what we have created in the link. You can see it on the cell. I have a high-quality, very good data. You should be able to download it from there. Yes, yes, all right yes, all right.

Speaker 1:

Oh, it's gonna be a fun week. It's gonna be so much fun. I hope everybody's so excited. I'm excited, I hope you're excited. Some nice music there in the background that, that's La Lom, the Los Angeles oh, what are they called the Los Angeles League of Musicians if you guys haven't heard those Pretty cool La Lom? They play some really interesting and fun stuff. Anyway, how's it going? How is everybody? It's good to be here.

Speaker 1:

I'm back. I'm in my office, which is weird. It's been two weeks since I've been here. I was out on site doing some really cool stuff. I'll be talking a little bit about that to friends and people sitting around tables at WLPC and that's why I wanted to chat this week. I wanted to catch up a little bit. Not talking about any of the stuff, typical podcast stuff, although there's been some pretty interesting things happening recently as of late If you've kept up with some of the news, there'll be some changes.

Speaker 1:

So what's happening at WLPC I'm sure the word will make it around pretty quick the stuff with Bintiv and Exceltex and the stuff with HP and Juniper and the stuff with just everything. So it'll make for very good conversation. Kind of state of the industry, if you will, is a little bit different, a little bit changed here as we move into 2025. So we've got WLPC 2025 coming up. Wlpc is the Wireless LAN Professional Conference. Now, if you don't know what the WLPC is, give me one second. Let me make sure I can. Good, I can hear myself. Wow, I can't even turn myself down. So if you don't know what the WLPC is, let me give you a quick history. That may or may not be accurate, but that's okay. Maybe someone can help me out if I mess it up. Essentially it's been I think so 11 years going on.

Speaker 1:

The WLPC and the WLPC was put together by a crew. A guy named Keith Parsons put this together to be. You know, the term back in the day was the unconference, but the idea is that, instead of sitting around listening to vendors talk about what they do and how they do it, this is an opportunity for the industry to get together and talk about what matters most to the industry. So every year, a questionnaire goes out asking people to submit abstracts about what they want to talk about and there's a little window for that, and once those are all submitted and anybody can submit one, once those are all put in, then anyone who's in the wireless industry can vote on that. Anyone who's anyone, I guess can vote on those, and that's how the agenda is formed. Now, once the agenda is formed, however, whoever gets the most votes gets the longest talks, but it's shouldered by some pretty cool things Leading into the actual event, where there's a schedule and we talk about everything, where we go through the different sessions.

Speaker 1:

There are boot camps that take place, three-day boot camps that are awesome and they teach you the most incredible things and you're surrounded by people that are just as excited about being part of the industry as you are. So you get to learn while sitting next to some incredible people. You get to make new friends. You get to kick the conference off right, this is straight up wireless nerd spring break. I mean, it is like everyone I think there's a lot of people that call it nerd spring break and so the bootcamps happen.

Speaker 1:

Then the sessions come in and then, after sessions, we go into deep dives, and every day you go into a deep dive where you dive deep into a specific topic and we're going to go through some of what that is. And in the evening, you got some parties, some mixers, where people get together. There's some product demonstrations, there's some places where people just not necessarily hackathon, but people just bring the goods out and we destroy stuff and break stuff and make it work and figure out why it doesn't and what it could be better. And everybody gets to learn from each other. And one of things is you've got vendors standing shoulder to shoulder with people who are in the industry and it just it doesn't. It doesn't feel like that. It feels like we're just all peers. We're all there to learn from each other, we're all there to experience everything. And it is a very unique conference in that way that we really get to share and be open with everyone. It's kind of a safe space, if you will, in the wireless industry.

Speaker 1:

And then there's all these other little things. So if you haven't been to W, so let's see On Monday. If you haven't heard about it. If you play golf and you're interested, we've got two foursomes set up. A bunch of us are going to go out and play some golf on Monday morning, so that's happening. If you like coffee, bring a bag of coffee. There know, you end up in a place where everyone has brought some bourbon and they share it with each other. That's not an official event, but these are some of the things that happen after hours. We've recorded podcasts for Whiskey and Wireless. We've recorded podcasts for Waves.

Speaker 1:

I'll probably do something out there and just interview a bunch of people and have some fun. There's been vendor mixers and vendor parties there. There's been vendor mixers and vendor parties. There's been off road trips where we go to Lolo's Chicken and Waffles and go eat some of the best chicken and waffles you've ever had. We go eat tortas, torta del rey, down the street from the conference. We have a really good time. There's people who go out running. There's people who go out hiking. There's photographers. I remember one year a group of people got together and went off into the desert after the event and did a photography skills class where everyone got to learn from each other on pictures to take. So there's lots of stuff that happens. Just be on the lookout for it.

Speaker 1:

The best thing I can tell you is, if you aren't part of the Slack channel the Wi-Fi Pro Slack channel make sure you're part of that. If you need any information or help, just drop a question in the comments so you can learn from there and you'll get a big push from that, from the crew that's there. And then we've got the Wi-Fi Awards that take place at WLPC every year. All in all, it's a great way for our entire wireless community to come together and talk about what's going on in our worlds and share information and share knowledge. It's pretty awesome.

Speaker 1:

So what I want to do is I want to dig into some of the things that we're doing here. Let's see if I can share my screen here. That looks pretty good and it looks like I still have audio, which used to be an issue. But these are the bootcamps I was talking about. Check this out If you want to learn from some of the best in the industry. Here are the bootcamps that are happening at WLPC in Phoenix this year. You've got Certified Wireless Analysis Professional, taught by none other than Mr Peter McKenzie, and if you haven't sat through one of Peter's classes, he is such a wealth of information. You've got Certified Wireless Network Administrator the CWNA boot camp, taught by Tom Carpenter from CWNP, so you're learning from the best over there too. Chris Avance is in doing the Cisco 9800 Rockstar. I'm interested to see where that goes. I mean still some use case for the 9800, but I mean, look at where Cisco is going. I wonder how much longer that class is going to be there.

Speaker 1:

Hamana Architect Bootcamp by hey Eddie. Hey Eddie, mr Eddie Ferrero, one of the best instructors in the industry Brian Ward teaching Linux operating system bootcamp. Very cool, brian is such a cool dude and he's got hands-on experience doing a lot of this stuff. I mean, everybody does, but this is Brian's day-to-day thing, so learning from him is going to be fantastic. One of my favorite people in the whole industry is Rasika, and he's teaching Rockstar Wireless Analysis.

Speaker 1:

Ruckus Certified Wireless Associate Bootcamp. I don't know who's teaching that. Let me see what happens if I click on it. I'm assuming it's Jim Palmer, but it might not be Jim Palmer. It just says Ruckus Wi-Fi Basics. Okay, that's cool. Okay, so check this out.

Speaker 1:

This one got me right, because JJ and JD, the Secure Wi-Fi Architecture Masterclass, and literally the lady who wrote the book on Wi-Fi security is teaching it. But then, right next to it, you've got the Ultimate Wi-Fi Security Bootcamp and then underneath that you've got Wi-Fi authentication through Passpoint. So lots of talk about security just in the bootcamps alone. Oh, go ahead, because my watch is listening too. Ultimate Wi-Fi Security Bootcamp tour is teaching that one, but it'll be neat to see what JJ and JD are talking about in the Wi-Fi architecture and they just launched their new certification. So I wonder if I wonder. You know, I'm interested to see what that looks like. So that's pretty cool.

Speaker 1:

Wi-fi authentication, open through Passpoint, so that's going to be really. I've been a fan of this and I've gotten to play a lot with it. This is the whole open roaming thing and the whole Passpoint neutral host offload. So I'm keen to see how Fernet's bootcamp is going to go for that. The Wireless Adjuster Bootcamp if you're just getting into Wi-Fi or if you want to go back and cover the basics the Hugman himself, mr Devin Akin, will be teaching that one. The Wonderful World of Wi-Fi 7 Bootcamp I don't have any idea what that is. This year's NCX oh, it's Phil. Phil Morgan looks like he's going to be teaching this one, but we'll see. I don't. It doesn't have a name on there, so we'll see.

Speaker 1:

So those are the bootcamps that are happening and these take place the first three days of the conference. So I believe it's going to be like Saturday or Sunday, monday, tuesday is when these take place, I believe, or Saturday, sunday, monday. I don't know me on that one, but it starts. Let's see here. Boot camps are Saturday, sunday, monday. There you go. So here's the agenda. If you've never seen the agenda from WLPC, this is what it looks like and so what you have here.

Speaker 1:

Let me make sure this thing's shown. What you have here is, you see, that the boot camps start on Saturday at 8 in the morning. You've got breakfast till 8.30. That's how you read the schedule, the little lines here on the side. And then they've got lunch breaks and lunch breaks in between and then group dinner. So everyone gets together and hangs out and has dinner.

Speaker 1:

Registration starts in the main lobby on monday at six o'clock is when registration starts. Everybody show up and you grab your badge and you get your. Um, you get your goodie bag, and usually in the goodie bag I don't know what they look like. This year they've gone all over the place place. Sometimes they've been huge and filled with all kinds of stuff and sometimes they've been, depending on the year. Covid was a little skimpy, but so were the crowds, and then kicking off Tuesday morning at eight o'clock is the actual conference itself. Now what I will tell you if you haven't been is make sure you're on time. Make sure that you're there when it starts.

Speaker 1:

Keith gets up on the stage. He gives a really cool introduction and the intro and the outro to WLPC are some of my favorite times to be there. Keith has some great words for the industry, some big overarching themes of what's going on. It's a fantastic welcome. Every year we go to this thing and it's great to hear Keith's words as he talks about what we're going to see and what we're going to learn and he presents some statistics about the previous year and how that compares to this year. So it's really neat to see it growing. I know we sold out this year WLPC sold out this year in a short amount of time, which is always cool.

Speaker 1:

But one of the reasons you also want to be there early is because there's door prizes and if you haven't been there it doesn't mention anything about it, but there are door prizes and those door prizes, when they call your name, if you are not in the room, you do not get the door prize. I might hold the record for the person whose name has been called the most times and who hasn't been in the room the most times. I think I'm at three now, so don't be me, don't be that guy whose name gets called, and you don't win anything, because it can be everything from the coolest new stuff that Keith has found, and I'm telling you all that is. One of the neatest things about WLPC is you're surrounded by nerds that are just like you, that may even be nerdier than you are, and we all buy the most ridiculous stuff when it catches our attention. And Keith is like the master at that. He goes out and finds the craziest stuff and then he buys extras and he gives them out as door prizes. So make sure you're there for that. There's MacBook Airs have been given away. There's Wi-Fi survey kits have been given away. There's free registration for people to come in overseas have been given away. There's all kinds of really great stuff that are giveaways at WLPC. But you have to be there. So make sure after the breaks that your butt's in your seat, or else, if your name's called, you're not going to win it.

Speaker 1:

Now, the way that it starts is there's a big session in the morning, then there's a break. There's a couple of big sessions in the morning, and then there's a break, and then lunch, and lunch is provided. You go outside, you sit down in the nice weather, what I would encourage you to do is go meet someone. Go find a table of people that you don't know and if you're early, if it's a first-timer and you haven't been there before, then maybe there are a lot of those tables. But just go sit down and introduce yourself.

Speaker 1:

Everybody's expecting it. Everybody's expecting to meet new people. Obviously, there's a lot of people there that we're old friends and we've seen each other, but nothing is cooler than having someone new just sit down and be outgoing and say, hey, I'm new here. Who are you all? What do you do? My name is so-and-so, this is what I do and that's how you meet people, because one of the biggest things about WLPC is getting to know each other. It really, really is. You'll find that our community is an incredible community. If you've never been, and if you have been and you haven't been outgoing, I encourage you to do that. If you have been and you have been outgoing, then you absolutely know what to expect. But be on the lookout for the people that are new. It's always fun to meet the new faces.

Speaker 1:

So lunch go back into presentations and we get a break and then we knock out our deep dives, and the deep dives are one of my favorite things about WLPC. And so at WLPC the deep dives start, I think, at three o'clock. Yeah, it's, it's always the same from three to five, I'm sorry, from three to six. You've got the deep dives that go on. Don't feel bad if you start to get a little sleepy in the deep dives happens to all of us. Usually there's snacks and candy and everything else. But if there's not, you know, let me know. Maybe we need to make a run and go pick some stuff up, but usually you'll find some sweets and some treats and some coffee laying around where people can take that in, because the deep dives are in that afternoon and it's a lot of learning in one day. It's a whole lot of learning in one day.

Speaker 1:

Then there's a quick buffer time to go up, just relax a little bit, brush your teeth maybe, take a little squeeze, a little 10-minute nap and then get to the evening sessions. The evening sessions are usually vendor-sponsored sessions and what that means is you go into a room and once you're in that room, it's sponsored by you know, insert brand here, and they usually do like a little dog and pony show about their product or they show off something new, and then they get involved with you. They give stuff away. They might give everybody something. They might give a limited amount of people something, but one of the things that they do give out is drink tickets and they usually have food and beverages in there. So save plenty of room. You'll hang out.

Speaker 1:

Don't really need to find dinner sometimes on Tuesday and Wednesday, because light dinner is provided and it's usually enough. It is conference food. So if you want to make plans to go out to dinner with someone or a group of people, those all end at 9.30. And after that you can go do whatever you want, which is a little bit late, but there's some great spots. Ask around to each other. If the people are there. They'll find you some great dinner options, but pick and choose what you want to do. And then the second day it's the same agenda both those two days, tuesday and Wednesday but it's different programming and it's really it's fascinating. And then the third day there's box lunch after after everyone's good to go, 1.30,. Everybody's done.

Speaker 1:

Go to the airport, jump on the plane. Don't be scared to split a car with someone. You meet lots of people going to and from the airport, which is pretty neat and what I would encourage you to do is, if you are on the Slack channel, drop a note saying hey, I'm in town, I just arrived. Is there anyone here? You can split a car. That's a good way to go back and forth.

Speaker 1:

There's really not a lot of travel that takes place during the event. I mean, one year we all went downtown and watched Boardman eat his own face with a side of some dirt and asphalt on one of the scooters, because that was, I think, like the first year. Everyone thought scooters would be a great idea inside inner cities, so that was fun. So you'll find little excursions here and there, but for the most part everyone sticks to the event Monday. Like I said, we're playing golf on Monday morning. So if you're not part of the boot camp and you're in on Monday, monday's a fun day to get to know everyone before and after conference registration and I forgot to mention that during conference registration you can see it down there at the bottom. There's a whole bunch of food trucks that are set up outside and there's some great food trucks that are there. So you've got food there or you can go off and go do your own thing, but it's usually it's a fun time. It's a really good event. So it's a fun time. It's a really good event.

Speaker 1:

So what are we talking about this year? This is like let's get to the meat and potatoes of this thing, man. What are we talking about? So the deep dives we talked about bootcamps a little bit. Deep dives are cool because you usually get to take something home with you AutoCAD with Brian Ward I don't know that you're going to take an AutoCAD license home, but you might have FreeCAD or something.

Speaker 1:

At the WLPCcom you can learn about all these. Learn about floor plans and layers, exporting, how to modify stuff so there's a description of it. Building your own Wi-Fi automation lab this would be pretty cool. Installation of Ubuntu server on a laptop Yang models, exploring APIs of Mist and Meraki, how to use Ansible on your Ubuntu VM that you're going to set up so bring your own laptop. You need a Cisco account with WLC images. You need a Myst account. Lots of stuff in there.

Speaker 1:

Flipper Zero this is the one that I did last year. We had a really, really good time, but this is a great opportunity. Sorry, I was supposed to be sharing my screen. I wasn't. There's Flipper Zero screen. Anyway, we had a great time with this last year. But let me just give you a word of warning. This is very important for WLPC. You have 400, 500 of the top wireless experts in the world in one room and by nature I feel like all of us are very curious.

Speaker 1:

And when you have a class that's teaching you how to use a flipper or how to scan for 5G networks, or how to modify Raspberry Pis, or how to use Kismet or how to load different various tools and such on laptops and whatever, when you get a group of people like that, sometimes there's a tendency to do something that you think is cool but it's not cool, like jamming all the Bluetooth, or like introducing a whole bunch of RF interference or doing something to try and show, hey, I can do this. Everybody, look at me, dude, rest assured that everybody in that room older and younger, males and females, amateurs and rookies and truly experienced people we can all do the same stuff. Don't be that person. Don't be the person that jams the BLE signal. Don't be the person that jams UWB. Don't make the conference suck for other people. It's happened a couple of times where someone just decided hey, I'm going to do, I've got this tool, I'm going to do it and let's see what the reaction is. In the middle of everybody's session, man, it's like it's not everybody goes to WLPC for the event. They don't go to watch you jam a BLE signal. Don't be that person, okay, just a word of advice, because remember that you're in a room full of people that know exactly how to find you if you are that person and you will not be invited back and lots of people will get a bad taste in their mouth for you. So don't be that person. Just a word of warning. We've had this happen a couple of times, you know, especially when these tools are out there and people are using them, just you know, be cognizant of what's going on.

Speaker 1:

The Flipper Zero class is great along those lines. If you haven't taken Mike Wade's lesson oh, mikey man, we were flying drones in Prague. That of drones in Prague, that was a lot of fun. Integrating drones into your wireless LAN business it's a very cool thing to go into. I don't know what the GPS GNSS session is, so I can click on it and I can find out here. In the last 20 years, consumer grade blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, deep dive. You'll learn how to use one of these cinema accuracy GNSS receivers for use in surveys oh, dude, that's cool. Automatic frequency coordination six gig, yeah, man, okay, that's pretty awesome. Neat and Luke's a great guy. So Luke's going to teach a good class, I mean a survey methods, featuring NetAlly and Juniper. This is going to be pretty cool to see Peter go through this. And if you haven't seen the way that NetAlly can take data and dump it into Hamina, that is super, super awesome. So you'll be able to take a look at that. Is 6GB, right for you. A LoRaWAN masterclass? I've done that one.

Speaker 1:

Mastering Wi-Fi Explorer Pro. That's the one I'm going to do this year because Adrian's teaching it, which is going to be great. So learning all about all the new stuff that's available in Wi-Fi Explorer Pro for Windows and Mac he says Windows and Mac. Physics for wireless with a little wine tasting Bob always brings the wine. Physics for wireless with a little wine tasting Bob always brings the wine, fyi. So bring an appetite for good wine, delicious wine, and a brain that's thirsty for knowledge, if you will. Okay, so I'm going to talk about my buddy Mark real quick, because this is awesome and, honestly, it closed up pretty quickly so I wasn't able to see this deep dive, but this dude has taken a Raspberry Pi and attached a device to it that allows you to do spectrum analyzation of 5G using Raspberry Pi. So this is going to be really neat to see. You're going to see people walking around with this.

Speaker 1:

One of the cool things also that I'll tell you about the bootcamps I'm sorry about the deep dives and the bootcamps is sometimes there's extra stuff left over and it's available in the store. So if you want to get your hands on one of these I don't know if there's going to be any extras, but if there are, they will be available there on site to purchase. Now, if they're not, you can always talk to Mark or Keith or Frenet or Matthew or someone and we can put you in touch with the right people so that you can get your hands on one. If you see something, you go man, that's cool Because you get that whole. It's like that whole summer camp thing where you see the people and you're like what is that? That's awesome. I wish I had one of these. Usually, what you find at WLPC is that you can actually get your hands on one of those, and so you always find lookout for that. That's gonna be really, really neat. And even if you don't, if you, if you're not doing the deep dive, go find mark and see what he's doing, if that's something that interests you.

Speaker 1:

Ultimate wi-fi security deep dive. Again back on the security. I mean, this is now a deep dive as opposed to just a boot camp. So that's pretty awesome. Unify from zero to fluent. Nobody better than daryl derogia, the kevin bacon of wi-fi, to teach a unify class. This is gonna be pretty neat to see going. Uh, you know, from soup to nuts, if you will. Uh, scalable visitor-based networks, wpa3 enterprise site magic, automatic failover and more. How to set up unify and get it running. Now, if you're new to wlpc and our whole group and you don't have information about the WLANPy, I would absolutely suggest that you take the time to do this, either this year or next year, because the WLANPy is like one of the most useful, resourceful tools that we have in the industry and it's because of the team that have put together and because of the community that have contributed to it that's made it pretty awesome. So, if you haven't done the WLANPi deep dive, make sure you do that.

Speaker 1:

A Wi-Fi design, site surveys and live monitoring with Hamina Wireless, taught by none other than Mr Jerry. That's going to be very, very cool to watch and see what they're doing and they've got a presentation about it. And then the wonderful world of Wi-Fi 7 deep dive lots there. Now, once you get through those, you've got the 30-minute sessions. 30-minute sessions are talking about.

Speaker 1:

This is one of my favorites. I think this is a crowd favorite where it's Wes Purvis asking does it matter what AP you buy? And this is the 2025 edition. So lots of detail, lots of information, lots of statistics about what's happened over the last couple of years and determining if the AP that you're purchasing does make a difference. Retail Rapsi is going to be pretty neat. I'm interested to see this, first of all because I love seeing GT. Glad he's back this year again, which is awesome. But this is what comes from retail Drawing the experiences from Amazon, home Depot, kroger, nike, target, walmart. Gt knows how to talk real well, so he's going to give some really cool information about what's going on in the retail industry and what's like to do Wi-Fi in retail, roaming Wars and Handoff in 2.4.

Speaker 1:

Wi-fi 7, are we there yet? Nicholas will give a great presentation, I'm sure, on that, and then we can bust down into the 20-minute talks here. Misconceptions about and we can bust down into the 20-minute talks here. Misconceptions about antenna, mlo and puncture transmission. That was cool last year. Hope to see more about it this year.

Speaker 1:

Surveying CBRS Mark's gonna give a 20-minute talk so you'll get to see what he's doing. Hands-on MBSS IDs Jake's gonna be talking about that. Tom Carpenter's gonna be talking about soft skills. Very important, very, very important to have those soft skills. What else do we have on here? Train, your replacement, mentoring, senior WLAN staff. Dude, take a minute to just like whatever you're doing.

Speaker 1:

When Lee gets up there, just make sure you've got a water in your hand or a coffee or whatever. Sit down and just lean into what Lee's going to talk about. He's a wonderful person to listen to and he's got a lot of advice from an old-timer because he's old and because he's been doing this a long time. Because he's old and he's old because he's been doing it a long time and I don't know if you know this or not, but he is an older gentleman, so he's got a lot of advice for you. He's kind of a get-off-my-lawn type of guy, but in the best way possible, and anybody that knows lee and I know that we love to just pick on each other because, because we love each other, I guess.

Speaker 1:

Anyway, understanding wpa3 encryption by jd. What else do we have on here? Even is going to do a presentation, which is awesome. If you don't follow her online, you totally should. Ben toner is going to talk about wi-fi 7 mlo and iphones. Thater's going to talk about Wi-Fi 7 MLO on iPhones. That should be interesting to watch. Enterprise Wi-Fi APs from concept to connectivity Okay, let's see where that one goes. Wi-fi lockdown See more. Security, security, security. Wi-fi tools versus vendor dashboards. Mmm, look at that. Stone-cold face by Yussi A line in the sand. He says Well. Face by UC A line in the sand, he says Well, let's hope it's not about Nicolas Cage.

Speaker 1:

10 Talks on Halo AI troubleshooting, 80 gigahertz for fixed wireless networks payment Fantastic individual. Glad to see him doing one of these talks, which is phenomenal, especially after he was here last year. Todd Smith's going to be there. Henner Steiner's going to be talking about how Dollar Patch Core took down a million-dollar network. This is one of my favorite things to talk about and impress upon people. Make sure you spend money on the right patch cables. You're going to take all this crazy stuff in your network and you're going to run across something that you fight tooth and nail to find the cheapest version of it possible. Anyway, that'll be a fun one.

Speaker 1:

Iot use cases, rm our first football season with outdoor 6G at the Notre Dame Stadium See cool information man. Open roaming by Bruno ripping off the Band-Aid on, I'm assuming, on converting access points. Lots of stuff in here. Lots of really cool stuff in here. So I'm excited to see those. And then there's some other talks there on the side.

Speaker 1:

But overall, y'all, I am excited that WLPC is coming up this weekend and I really hope to see you there, especially if you've never been. I think you'll really get a kick out of it. It's a phenomenal way to spend the week learning from people, getting to know people, getting to know new technology and new products. It really is. It's a blast to be a part of. So, that being said, I wanted to go and check and see if there were any comments or anything and address those if anyone had any, but I don't see anything on there and I'm not refreshing the right way. But anyhow, that's all, man, I just wanted to give you all a quick sneak peek, maybe some do's and don'ts and whatnot. Have a good time. Have a really good time. Come with an open mind. Bring your toys and tools if you want to show them off. Just don't be the person that does that in a way that causes an issue for somebody else.

Speaker 1:

Last year is when I think we just took over one of the rooms and just started breaking stuff. And not breaking I mean not like actually breaking stuff, but getting into the code on things and getting into the configuration on different devices to see how well they performed Running tests and measurements across different components to see can this really hold up? I think this year I'm going to pack some gear, because last year the problem that we had is we were trying to test MLO and we didn't have a 10 gig switch port that we could plug into. So I'm going to call around and make sure there's enough gear there so that if we do want to test something like multi-gig wireless, then we have an opportunity to do it. I ran a three gig speed test this past week and it was incredible and I would love to see more of that. So I might bring some gear out there.

Speaker 1:

If there's something that you all want to see, please post in the comments or reach out to a channel and get on the Slack and talk about it. But otherwise, looking forward to it, I come in on Sunday night. I am getting in about I think I get in at 10 o'clock at night. So if you want to split an Uber, let me know. And then Monday we're playing golf and we'll be hanging out. So if you want to say hi, you want to reach out, if you're new and you just need a point of contact, you want someone to hang out with, give me a call, drop me a line, reach out to anybody, literally anybody. Find a couple of people that you want to meet and just go meet them. Just go walk up to them and say, hey, look, I'm new, my name is so-and-so, whatever. And for the veterans, I encourage you to do the opposite Go find a face that you don't know and just walk up to them and it might make their day.

Speaker 1:

I met some people that had watched the podcast and I went up and I just started introducing myself Like oh, my God, here's a dude with the podcast. It's like well, yeah, I mean, there's not a lot of people who do wireless-only podcasts, so there's no celebrity there, but I am in the wireless space, at least I'm a voice, but it was really neat to see that someone who would not have come up and approached me because they thought I might have been inapproachable, I'm the guy who went up and talked to them. So be that person, be the person that reaches out, go meet new people, have a good time. It's going to be fantastic. I'm looking forward to seeing y'all. We'll see you there. Wlpc 2025 in Phoenix here we go, see you next week. Y'all Bye.
